Summary

Thanksgiving traditionally has meant family -- but these days Friendsgiving has increasingly become a part of the conversation.

So it's only appropriate that old friends Brendan Bayliss and Jeff Austin will reunite as 30db in their mutual hometown of Chicago the day after this year's holiday celebration.

They have functioned as a duo since 2010's One Man Show, and have delivered the goods off and on ever since in Chicago venues like Tonic Room, Martyrs' and Abbey Pub.  But City Winery, can be the ultimate room for this type of living room performance -- offering a space that is as cozy and intimate as the music they make together.  They will play both an early show and late show on Friday, November 23rd.

We want to send some of our readers to catch the gig for free.  To enter our contest, just drop an email to info@tomorrowsverse.com with subject line 30db Contest, specifying which show you'd prefer (7pm, 10pm or either) in the body of the email.  We'll notify the winner via email on Friday morning.

Also note:

This show is part of the 93XRT Holiday Concerts for The Kids series.  Please bring a new unwrapped toy or book to the show and help make things just a little bit better for children spending their holidays in area hospitals.

What They Say

Hailing from Chicago, longtime friends, musical collaborators, and all-around conspirators Jeff Austin (of Yonder Mountain String Band) and Brendan Bayliss (of Umphrey's McGee) have been writing music and playing together for years. In between their busy tour schedules with Yonder and Umphrey's, the two musicians had always wanted to start a band. They wrote some songs, played some shows (both on Jeff's turf in Colorado and back home in Chicago) and so 30db was born.

What We Say

We know that Chicagoans ride hard for these musicians.  Here's a chance to make your holidays happier... as well as some deserving kids.
