What They Say
Returning to the Bottle for the first time since 2014 is the psychedelic and sun-scorched MORGAN DELT. DELT is a California singer, songwriter and musician who has released some of the best genre-defying tracks we've heard to date. Released on Chicago's own Trouble In Mind, DELT's debut, self-titled albumwas an acid-laced, mutated piece of golden-era psychedelia that is both familiar but refreshingly new. Taking trips to outer galaxies and blending all sorts of psych-rock traditions into one, DELT sums up his twisted, California sound: "I think we've become unstuck in time and everything is going to happen all at once from now on." MASS GOTHIC is the self-titled, Sub Pop debut from the Massachusetts-bred, New York-based singer/songwriter’s Noel Heroux, formerly of NY rock outfit HOORAY FOR EATH. Written and recorded at home over four months during the winter of 2014-2015, it’s a stunning reminder of not just Heroux’s own remarkable talents as singer and songwriter, but how unbridled creativity can both sound and feel as well. The result is an expansive, often exhilarating set of guitar-driven pop that required very little editing when it was done. With his partner, collaborator, and tour mate Jessica by his side, we are fully ready to witness Heroux’s new beginning in the flesh. HEAVEN'S GATEWAY DRUGS is a counterculture cult rock band hailing from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Despite being born in a location that couldn't be farther from a psychedelic epicenter, Heaven’s Gateway Drugs creates a unique combination of freakbeat, west coast psych, mod, and eastern drone to create a sound that is just at home today as it was in 1968.
