On TV features a quick recap of what we’ve been listening to at Tomorrow’s Verse headquarters.
Who: Landlady
What: Brooklyn four-piece indie-rockers Landlady
You Need To Know: Landlady has emerged as one of the most interesting collectives in today’s indie scene, writing creative and melodic tracks that span genres and influences. The band stopped by NPR for a Tiny Desk Concert, performing three songs that blend keyboards and electronics with a more straightforward rock backing. Better yet, you get a sense of the band’s humbleness and humor through the singer’s banter. The band is joined by string quartet Rouge Collective for the third song, “Electric Abdomen.”
