I love to see Chicago bands dive deep into the creative well to help get the word out. These two bands have created some impressive visuals that spotlight what makes them unique contributors to the city's varied musical landscape.
Furious Frank harnesses some crazy-energy gypsy punk, the seven-piece features a bevy of strings augmented by spitfire horn section. "Lament" is from their most recent release The Map & The Territory. The stylish, slightly retro animation was crated by Tiny Markers and is as bold and inclusive as the music it illustrates.
Akasha has mellow, uplifting and accessible reggae sound -- "Ooh U Got Me" is certainly a representative track. The stop motion animated video by Josh Kalven features our great city in a starring role.
