Vulfpeck kicked off a run of four shows in three days at Chicago's Metro on Thursday night. The Michigan-bred funk band wasted no time in getting right down to what they've been doing since the days when Chicago was one of the only stops on their touring itinerary.
That means plenty of pocket funk and special guests -- frequent collaborators Cory Wong, Antwaun Stanley and Joey Dosik (who also performed an opening set) all got a chance to jam with the band.
The formula appears to be working -- the remainder of the night shows on this run are sold out (there's also a children's matinee... they're always switching things up). Maybe more dates or an even bigger venue for Vulf in the future?
