Originally from Chicago, acclaimed multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Andrew Bird has a history of playing some of the city’s best venues, regardless of size. From intimate shows at the Hideout to his notorious Gezelligheid shows at 4th Presbyterian Church to headlining Millennium Park’s Pritzker Pavilion, Bird certainly knows his way around the city.
Bird has now announced another opportunity for fans to see him at one of Chicago’s oldest and most legendary jazz clubs, the Green Mill.
Bird will appear at the century-old Uptown club on April 2 and 3, with tickets sales operating on a lottery system. Purchase lottery tickets for April 2 here and for April 3 here.
The concerts will celebrate Bird’s newest studio album, My Finest Work Yet, which comes out on March 22. Bird considers the record his first overtly political album, and has so far released the tracks “Sisyphus” and “Bloodless,” which you can listen to below.
