After a 2011 event that had Deadheads coast-to-coast smiling and taking in a beautifully restored print of the Grateful Dead Movie (plus some classic bonus interview footage), the Dead Meetup at the movies is back for a 2012 round.
On April 19th, they lead with never before seen footage from Alpine Valley Music Theatre on July 18, 1989, the entire performance immediately following the incredible show canonized on the DVD feature Downhill from here. Once again, there will be easter eggs aplenty, with promises of an unreleased track from Spring of 1990 and some rare photos from the band to supplement the feature.
Showtime will be 7pm and it will be exhibited at 14 Chicago are theaters. Full listing below.
