Meet Keith Edward, The Blues Wizard

Meet The Blues Wizard, Keith Edward (aka Keith Kifer).

Originally from Warren, Pennsylvania, Keith now lives in Bisbee Arizona where he repurposes items such as suitcases and hubcaps into playable guitars and amplifiers at his storefront business, the Lunatic Fringe Luthiery.

He plays these unique instruments at festivals and on street corners -- from San Diego California to Clarksdale Mississippi to New York City.

Keith’s work was documented in the 2014 DVD release The Legend of the Blues Wizard, which chronicles his quest to keep the blues alive and achieve a little fame along he way.

As part of the Bisbee Blues Festival Keith led a workshop on slide guitar and instument building for children. Here’s what one of his students' mother posted to Keith’s Facebook page:

I just wanted to thank you again for everything this weekend! Most importantly welcoming Jackson into your world and taking the time to share your talent with him. He wore his slide all day and never once took it off! He got home and went straight to his chevrolele and started playing! We listened to some of your music on the way home and a whole lot of different blues music. The kid is hooked! He's already asking when we can go back to bisbee and told me I need to buy a house down there. You really mad a big impact on him! Thank you!!!!!
