Though a setlist still hasn’t surfaced from either of Thee Oh Sees’ recent dates at The Empty Bottle, four videos from the second night provide a glimpse of the set for those without tickets to the sold-out shows.
Lasting six songs and over thirty minutes, the videos show the psychedelic trio blasting through songs with spastic energy. Bass lines drive endlessly forward over simple but forceful drums. The guitar switches regularly from distorted garage-rock power chords to atonal effects, the singer occasionally playing a keyboard as well.
