Fresh of a remarkable Chicago run, the Tedeschi Trucks Band hit other Midwest markets when they got the terrible news of Butch Trucks' passing.

But apparently the show must go on, at least the St. Louis stop did, and the band gave it all they could in honor of Derek's departed uncle, Wedensday night at the Peabody Opera House.

The opened the show with the Allman Brothers Band's "Statesboro Blues" with Susan taking an incredible turn on the lead vocals.

The set closing number was even more impressive.  As they did in Chicago, the band welcomed Luther Dickinson to the stage for an out-there version of "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed" which clocked in at about half an hour.

Thanks to Jason Briggs for capturing both of these.
