My Morning Jacket have announced The Waterfall, their first studio album since 2011’s Circuital, as well as a massive tour which includes three dates at Chicago Theatre.

The Waterfall is set for a May 4th release. The 10-track record was recorded at Panoramic House studios at Northern California’s Stinson Beach, with sessions beginning in late 2013.

Tucker Martine, who also worked on Circuital and Jim James’s Regions of Light And Sound Of God, produced the sessions, which resulted in 24 tracks total, the remainder being saved for a second record in 2016.

As well as announcing the record and releasing the above artwork, the band announced a festival-heavy world tour, including three Chicago Theatre dates (June 9-11) and shows in Milwaukee, St. Louis and Kansas City.

Check out The Waterfall’s first single “Big Decisions” below as well as the record’s track list and the band’s tour dates.
