It's something of a Rolling Stones tradition to "warm up" for stadium tours with some club gigs. For me, it's sort of encouraging -- kind of a proof that the show isn't about fireworks, catwalks or video screens.
The Stones deliver in this Chicago performance at the famed Double Door, running through a short set that touches on classics, new material and some rarities before they kicked off the Bridges To Babylon tour at Soldier Field. It's pretty fun that even in the long parade of tours that The Stones have embarked on since their "prime", there are musical elements and song choices that make each one distinct-- they are extra cool here because of the size and intimacy of the venue.
