We recently got a great peak into the artistry and creative process of Oliver Wood for our Barn interview. This weekend, Chicago got to see it first hand as The Wood Brothers delivered a set of their original music along with a couple of covers on October 4th.
The band brought opening act Chris Kasper and Kiley Ryan up to deliver a take on Tom Petty's "You Don't Know How It Feels". Despite Oliver's protestation that he's "trying to remember the words", we think it comes off pretty well, especially with the added touch of melodica and Ryan's fiddle.
Michael Jackson's "PYT" is a song that they band played for the first time in Chicago. " We butchered in then, we'll butcher it now," Wood claimed.
Not a chance, this one's a keeper.
