Billy Corgan's 8 Hour Electronic Ambient Novel Interpretation

outspoken Clark The Cub supporter

With a Highland Park teashop-cum-performance-pace (Madame ZuZu's) at his disposal, apparently there is no stopping his ability to share his creations with the world.  As eager audience members lined-up and were ushered in throughout the day on Friday, Corgan unveiled what he's up to.

These days, he's finding inspiration in Herman Hesse's 1992 novel Siddartha, which was read amongst a backdrop of droning electronic sounds, sporadic beeps and occasional sips from an iced tea.  With Corgan and a partner manning a 50's style rack of electronics, tweaking and twisting knobs when not plunking at a keyboard or adjusting his reel-to-rell tape recorder or laptop, the whole thing had a retro-bizarro feel, not the least of which was due to it's interminable length.

The entire 8 hour performance was webcast live via Google+.  Here it is archived for your "enjoyment".
