Built To Spill offered a set stocked with older songs during a show at the Metro on Saturday.
The influential indie band played only three songs from their newest record, Untethered Moon, scattering them throughout the set.
The band performed more than half of 1999’s classic Keep It Like A Secret, opening with “Carry The Zero” as though to foreshadow the coming songs, which included “Center Of The Universe,” “The Plan,” “Time Trap” and more.

The set also included a cover of outsider folk musician Michael Hurley’s “Slurf Song," an unpredictable choice for the band.
Built To Spill closed their main set with the epic “Stop The Show” from Perfect From Now On, and the encore consisted of “Liar” and “Goin’ Against Your Mind,” both from You In Reverse.
