St. Vincent Covers Golden Girls Theme, "Thank You For Being A Friend"

Perhaps the white hair has inspired her, but I guess you pretty much expect the unexpected from St. Vincent.

 

She tweeted this two minute, synth heavy cover of the 80s sitcom theme "Thank You For Being A Friend", self described as a "dirge."

Frankly, if it wasn't accompanied by a picture of the "Girls" and specifically referenced in the tweet, it might be hard to see what she was going for.   But, have a listen and it's there.
