One thing that was notably left out of the routinely mind-blowing, pre-2016 live sets by White Denim: covers.
Suspiciously, in the run up to the recently released Stiff (see our review here), the newly configured band started dropping cover songs via Soundcloud -- and meaty stuff, too: Zeppelin, Traffic and Mickey Newbury (via Kenny Rogers).
And reports from the road have the band experimenting with covers and guest appearances, too.
Here's video, uploaded by The Royal Basement from Neumos in Seattle on March 28th. They are joined by opener Sam Cohen on the classic Steely Dan jam, "Peg". Not a bad use of the guest, and the new touring keyboardist. Would love to see more of this in the future.
