Late Night Roundup | Greta Van Fleet, Courtney Barnett, Leon Bridges & More

Watch as some of Tomorrow’s Verse’s favorite artists hit the promotional, late-night television circuit.

Greta Van Fleet on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Retro rock ’n rollers Greta Van Fleet have a strikingly similar sound to classic Led Zeppelin, but their live shows have proven the band to be anything but copycats. This is even apparent on TV, where the four-piece band brought their raucous live flair to Fallon’s stage to perform their newest single, “When The Curtain Falls.”

Courtney Barnett on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

As Australian songwriter continues to promote her excellent new album, Tell Me How You Really Feel, she paused her relentless touring to stop by Kimmel’s show, performing two tracks from the record. With a talented but minimal live band, Barnett tends to lean on how hard the songs rock to begin with, gruff vocals and simplistic, distorted guitars still allowing for the incredible songwriting to remain in the forefront.

Leon Bridges on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Amongst the greatest talents in today’s R&B scene is singer-songwriter Leon Bridges, his soulful approach drawing from practically every era of the genre without sounding overly nostalgic. Backed by a band with background vocalists, Bridges runs through a spacious but powerful take on “Beyond.”

Brent Cobb on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Country songwriter Brent Cobb has a classic sound that underlines everything great about the genre, with a gritty sound and rambling lyrics. Cobb performed “Ain’t A Road Too Long” on for Kimmel, a track full of great guitar licks and fantastic songwriting.

Fantastic Negrito on CBS This Morning

Songwriter Xavier Amin Dphrepaulezz, better known as Fantastic Negrito, has an unparalleled ability to blend genres into a truly unique sound of his own. He brought his band by CBS This Morning for two songs that shift at a constant, dizzying pace, for one of the most interesting TV appearances we’ve ever witnessed.
