What: An acoustic, duo performance for NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concert” series
You Need To Know: While songwriters Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile at first seemed an unlikely team, both their studio album Lotta Sea Lice and subsequent tour proved any skepticism wrong. The two share a knack for off kilter and observant songwriting as well as terrific guitar skills, each bringing their own style to the songs. And while this 20-minute performance captures the essence of their songs in a stripped-down setting, its their intimate banter and personable nature that truly makes this an exceptional session.
