Watch some of Tomorrow’s Verse’s favorite bands hit the promotional late-night television circuit.
1. Fleet Foxes on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Having released one of the best albums of 2017, Seattle progressive-folk pioneers Fleet Foxes continue a lengthy tour and stopped by Colbert’s show to promote Crack-Up. The band brought a gorgeous rendition of “Fool’s Errand,” with the vocals sounding great as ever.
2. Thundercat on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Thundercat performed on Colbert’s show on Halloween, joined by Jon Batiste and the house band while dressed as a Dragonball Z character. The bassist played the funky “Them Changes,” a highlight from his excellent new album, Drunk.
3. Margo Price on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah
Nashville country songwriter Margo Price stopped by The Daily Show as a guest last week, and performed the title track to her new album, All American Made. It’s a gorgeous, stripped-down rendition that features her with a pianist.
4. Weezer on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Weezer’s new album continues their move into a more pop-oriented sound, with “Happy Hour” standing as one of the most infectious songs they’ve written in years. Watch the band rock it out on Colbert.
Dave Grohl on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, and, because it was Halloween, dressed up as David Letterman. He covered the monologue for the night, performed a mashup of music from Frozen and Metallica with Kristen Bell, and eventually performed with Alice Cooper along with the rest of the Foo Fighters.
