Phil Lesh indicated that he'd try something interesting for his fall tour with Phil & Friends. He promised to weave certain themes, including a focus on great albums, into both his sets as well as those of the opener American Jubilee. As the first setlists trickled in, astute fans were able to draw a link between what was happening on stage and the images in the run's official poster.
Notice anything? A big, pink house. A white dog. The typeface of the Phil Lesh & Friends. Yup... each of these held a clue as to what was happening on stage over the four night run.
The Band's Music From Big Pink, Neil Young & Crazy Horse's Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere and Lynyrd Skynrd's Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd are all in play over the four night run.
I was lucky to be at last night's show where Phil delivered three badass Crazy Horse tunes and American Jubilee dropped "Cinammon Girl" and "Round and Round". The Skynyrd party started in the last song of the encore with "I Ain't The One". Here are the setlists from each show (via philzone.org) and tracklists for each album.
